Death is final! Let’s say you go through life and you don’t seek God. Instead, you fill your life with earthly cares and pleasures. You will still have sorrows and disappointments. You will still fear death. There is no guarantee you will live any certain length of time. Then you die. No hope, everlasting separation from hope. Forever and forever, without end.

On the other hand, you seek God from a pure heart. No doubt, you will still have sorrows and disappointments in this life. There will be cares and duties to take care of, and you might still feel rejected by some people. But there is a place in Christ our Lord where death no longer holds that fear over us. We see it as a final victory! Hope is real! Where all things will be right and holy beyond anything we can begin to imagine.

Either way, you will die. Tell me which way is the best?

In the last tape I sent you, I mentioned how most people see the word of God as dead because they see nothing fulfilled, yet. But when you begin to see the life from God enter into his word, and you begin to see the mysteries of God unfold in your understanding, then know that the Kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.

If we knew that on April 20, 2000 we had to die, how would we spend the last few days of our life? Knowing what we do now, would we close our mind to the word of God and abandon all hope? Or do you think we might get serious and steal away somewhere and pray? Who knows how long we have? It might be even closer. This is why we should live each day as though it is our last.
