How Jesus’ death redeems us
Jesus paid the full sacrificial price on the cross to provide an absolute, permanent cleansing of the conscience for believers. God will not accept us in our sinful state, but he will accept Christ in us.
Atonement for sins
The old law was inadequate in that it could not remove sin or grant eternal life. Jesus’s perfect sacrifice paid the price to remove the curse of death and redeems us to God.
Spiritual sacrifices
To offer spiritual sacrifices is to obey God’s word from an obedient heart and spirit in complete submission to his will.
Jesus fulfilled the law
Jesus our Lord fulfilled the law, taking the many ordinances that were contrary to his people out of the way. However, the laws and ordinances of the spirit remain in force.
