There are millions of Bible teachers and preachers in our country and around the world. So it would be reasonable to expect them to clearly explain the mysteries found in the pages of the New Testament. The apostle Paul plainly said that these mysteries are now made known to God’s people.
“Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints.” (Colossians 1:26)
Why do these teachers unanimously put these events in the future for the natural eye to see? The apostle said they are now made known. Does it not stand to reason that they assign these mysteries to a later time because they lack spiritual understanding and cannot discern the day in which we live?
One such mystery that you have not heard explained by the multitude of worldly teachers was spoken by Jesus. He said, “For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.” (Matt 24:24)
For the past two thousand years since Jesus spoke these words, each generation pushes the fulfilling of them to the next generation. The reason worldly teachers haven’t seen this come to pass is because they look at all things natural. They expect flesh and blood men to come on the scene, claiming to be Christ. By hearing only the natural, they completely miss the spiritual revelation.
False Christs are all around you! They are easy to discover if the Lord has opened your understanding. If not, you will put it in the future like those before you have done.
A false Christ is a deceived spirit in an individual that claims to be the spirit of Christ. They teach “for doctrines the commandments of men.” (Matthew 15:9) Follow their teaching and you follow a false Christ. Multitudes do follow them because they walk in darkness and cannot discern the signs of the times. Why? What do they lack? The spirit of truth is withheld from them as long as they continue to follow the commandments of men, which is false doctrine. “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth.” (John 16:13)
Jesus gave warning “Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.” (Matthew 24:4-5) They come in my name. If you think about it, you will remember hearing this said by a teacher or preacher. “I come to you in the name of Jesus Christ.” Not claiming to be Christ, but as the Lord said, “saying I” Jesus, “am Christ.” They honor him with lip service, they say, “his spirit is in me, and he has called me to preach the gospel.” Then, using the scriptures without understanding, they deceive many. The deceived spirit within them is not the spirit of Christ, it’s a false Christ.
Jeremiah the prophet saw this long ago. “Then the LORD said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them.” (Jeremiah 14:14)
“And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep.” (Romans 13:11) Open your eyes to the light of truth.
Why is it so hard to convince people of the truth? Why are the false churches overflowing? Why? Because they follow a false image of Christ. Satan transformed. “The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?” (Jeremiah 5:31)
Of all the millions of teachers and preachers, surely there are a few that hear and understand, but are not heard. Their voices are drowned out by the steady drumbeat of lies and confusion that come from the multitudes of false Christs and false prophets.
