False religion

Confused and suspicious about religion?
Religious denominations and their varying doctrines create confusion and leave you feeling disillusioned. The word of God tells us to be of one mind and have no divisions among us. Is that what we see in religion?

Scripture offends religion
Organized religion exists under a “don’t rock the boat” mentality that relies on an unspoken pact of mutual tolerance (“you go to your church, and I’ll go to mine”). Religion is comfortable in the bed of deception and actively resists spiritual truths that threaten to reveal their works.

Join the church of your choice?
Joining a church that best suits you and your beliefs is popular with the multitudes who want to soothe their conscience with the balm of religion, but without the price of righteousness. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” (John 14:6) He did not offer a choice of multiple ways or doctrines.

Man’s wisdom does not reveal the truth
In Old Testament times, the law had been corrupted by manmade traditions and misunderstanding. Since the time that Jesus came and preached the gospel, it has been corrupted by self-called men and women, preaching another gospel built on worldly understanding. Unless the Lord blesses them with the spirit of truth, they will never find the way.

Antichrist is here today
The antichrist is not an individual that will appear sometime in the future, claiming to be Christ. The antichrist is a deceiving spirit that has been in the world since the beginning. Those who are awakened to the truth will see the antichrist for what it is.

The natural man and the spiritual man
Every person has two bodies: a natural body of flesh and an unseen spiritual body, the soul of man. It is in the soul, the innermost being of a person, that God dwells if we abide in his word.

Deceiving spirits
The Apostle John warned that many deceiving spirits exist in the world, and they lead astray people who lack spiritual understanding of God’s word. We must expose all doctrine to the light of the gospel as written in the holy scriptures to discern the truth.

Jesus exposed the lies of Satan
Jesus exposed the lies of Satan, taking his power from him and he hated the Lord for it and persuaded evil men to crucify him. But he arose from the grave and is alive for ever more, thus making the power of death null and void to all who believe.

False Christs shall arise
If a deceived preacher or teacher twists and confuses the gospel, mixing in manmade doctrines and religious traditions all in “the name of Jesus,” he has presented a false image of Christ. He has misrepresented the truth that Jesus preached, and thereby raised up a false Christ. For every false doctrine taught in the name of Christ, a false Christ is raised up, and they are many.

Paul preached without charge
Paul refused to use his authority as an apostle for financial gain or to live a luxurious lifestyle at the expense of others. He preached the gospel without charge or expectation of receiving anything in return. Unlike modern-day preachers who often expect salaries and comfortable accommodations, Paul’s reward was seeing others turn to the truth.

The ministers of Satan
Many religious leaders are actually ministers of Satan who distort and pervert the true gospel of Jesus Christ by mixing it with man-made doctrines and religious traditions. They push the idea that it’s OK to have opposing doctrines because “everyone serves the same God.” Following these leaders leads to rejection by Christ.

Are you being led astray by false teachers?
False teachers distort scripture and lead people away from true spiritual understanding. They interpret the mysteries of the gospel through a purely “natural” lens because they lack the revealing power of the Holy Ghost. To avoid being lead astray, we must compare their words to the written word of God to determine whether they are in perfect alignment.

Flood of evil
There is a flood that exists today that is far more dangerous than the destructive flood of Noah’s day. It’s a flood of false doctrine that Satan created to destroy our souls. The only way to escape the flood is to hear, understand, and obey the true gospel of Jesus Christ.

A rebrobate mind
Today’s church leaders are like the Pharisees; they appear clean on the outside but are full of all manner of spiritual corruption. They profess to know God but openly resist the truth of the gospel. Leaders who oppose the teaching of Christ are reprobate and cannot see the error of their way.

Why is it so hard to convince people of the truth?
False Christs are not literal men claiming to be Jesus; they are deceived spirits within people who speak in Christ’s name but preach manmade commandments and doctrines. The truth is rejected by a mainstream culture that embraces comfortable lies and false imagery.

Denominational division
Denominational division makes it seem that we can choose the doctrine that best suits us and still gain eternal life. Since truth is absolute and constant, opposing church doctrines reveal that something is wrong and in direct conflict with the word of God.

Satan’s power
Satan is sent as a curse upon the earth for our disobedience to God. His power is in deception and he operates primarily within religion, where he appears as an angel of light. His stronghold in religion will only be revealed to you by the light of the truth.

Should musical instruments be played in church?
People who argue against musical instruments in church say that the New Testament is silent on the matter; therefore, we have no right to make it part of a church service. Is the New Testament really silent about music?

Once saved always saved?
There is a religious doctrine being taught today that says once you accept Jesus Christ as your Savior, you can never be cast away no matter what you do. They say that it is impossible to lose your salvation. Is this what the Bible teaches?

Religion based on emotion
Faith based on physical feelings or emotional “highs” is not supported by holy scripture. Emotional validation can easily lead to spiritual deception and false images of Christ. Being sure something is right because you feel it, in most cases, is a strong delusion sent from God, just as he said he would do.

Obey the word of God
If you believe that division is alright, then you don’t believe the word. And if you don’t believe the word, you don’t believe in Jesus, no matter how often you pay lip service, calling him Lord. The only way you will ever be obedient to the Lord is to obey the word.

The bread and the cup
Some churches, like the Roman Catholic Church, engage in physical rituals like eating wafers and drinking wine that keep believers blind to the true spiritual revelation of the bread and the cup. The bread that we are to eat is the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth, and the cup we are to drink is the new wine of the New Testament.

Religious division and opposing doctrines
Division and opposing doctrines arise because most people hold onto the traditional or handed-down beliefs of their parents rather than accepting the plain, written words of the gospel. Those who reject the absolute truth of the written gospel open themselves up to a strong delusion sent by God, leaving them comfortably deceived until it is too late.
